Campaigning with Kermit

On Saturday myself, Avis, and some good friends took our support for Caroline to the shoppers of Brighton. Parked outside Waitrose we marshalled a stall on behalf of the Greens in the hope of winning a few extra votes in the run up to the election. To be fair, not a lot of persuading was needed, as most people only came to ask us if they could have a poster to stick in their window.

Everyone we spoke to was full of praise for Caroline, with more than a few people from Hove and Kemp Town being disappointed they cant vote for her. It was challenging at times when people incorrectly assume that we are all experts on party policy, and I had to admit to one lady that I did not know how Caroline stands on the level of sugar in food!

But all in all it was a great day. The sun was out, folk were friendly, and hopefully some votes were gained!

And fortunately only the one man was funny enough make the joke about all parties 'being a bunch of muppets..."
